Porn site forced girls to act in porn

Several girls sued the Girls Do Porn porn site for convincing them to act in porn and forcing them to have sex on camera. Jezebel writes about it.

22 women who sued told their stories. They saw the ads of the modeling agency Begin Modeling on Craigslist and responded to it. As soon as they started a conversation with a potential employer, it turned out that in fact it was Girls Do Porn. Representatives of the company offered the girls thousands of dollars for shooting in the video and promised that these video would be distributed only in Australia and New Zealand.

The girls claimed that during signing a contract with the site, they were shouted at and felt pressure, including threats. Representatives of the company refused to stop shooting porn if girls complained of pain and discomfort. In addition, they were forced to shoot longer than it was previously agreed in the contract. In some cases, girls had to have sex after the end of filming.
Videos with girls were freely available on the Internet, including the sites like PornHub and YouPorn. Under some of them, the company wrote the real names of those who were filmed in the video. And it was the reason why the girls were subjected to harassment and persecution.
Some women tried to contact the company and to claim that it breaks the terms of the contract, but they could not contact their representatives, the given previously contacts were not available.
A claim against Girls Do Porn was filed in 2016, but the hearing of the case is scheduled only for July 2019. The delay in the trial was due to the fact that the owner of the company, Michael Pratt, filed for bankruptcy with the hope of postponing consideration of the case.
